Originally a member of Calgary favorites Same Difference, Chantal went on with  Lori Kennedy and Diane Kooch to plant the legendary all-girl sonic garden of   maud. When not performing solo shows she plays with Kris Demeanor, Anne Loree and was part of the succcessful Rogue Folks triumvirate with Kris and  Andrea Revel. Chantal has played at the North Country, Calgary, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Cochrane Valley and Dawson City music festivals as both a solo songwriter and guitarist/vocalist with Anne Loree, Kris Demeanor, and maud. Festival Experience Chantal was one of the 15 finalists in the Alta/Sask/Man/NWT portion of CBC's  Great Canadian Music Dream contest and her CD, Today's Special regularly spins on CKUA, CBC and CJSW. A songwriter who is inspired, amused and awed by the complexities of everyday life, her rich images are multi-layered, densely coloured and often get snagged on those pesky hidden silvers of truth. She scores for film and video (Do-Wok-a-Do, Gens de Foques, Swelter, Condomnation, The Road Project, The Riders (Male), Screaming Fish and The Girl Who Married a Ghost) when not touring, performing or applying for grants.
